Pokemon of the Week #7

This Pokemon of the Week is Beldum!
Pokedex Number: #374
Iron ball Pokemon
Types: Steel / Psychic
Average Height: 2' 00"
Average Weight: 209.9 lbs.
Highest Stat: Defense.
Evolution: Beldum > Metang > Metagross
Abilities: Clear Body
Weaknesses: Fire / Ground
Resistances: Dragon / Flying / Grass / Ice / Normal / Psychic / Rock / Steel
Immunities: Poison
About this Pokemon: This Pokemon keeps it's self afloat by sending out a magnetic pulse that repels the planet's magnetism. Beldum are also magnetic. When they swarm, they move in Unison. Two Beldum merge together to make Metang.
What's good about this Pokemon: It's evolved forms rule. It has decent defense.
What's bad about this pokemon: The only move it can learn in the wild is take down. It's hard to lv.up. It doesn't have any egg moves.
What I think about this Pokemon: Don't keep it as a Beldum. You're kinda wasting you're time if you do. But train that little guy, and it will be worth it.

Pokemon of the Week #6

This Pokemon of the Week is Umbreon!
Pokedex Number: 197
Moonlight Pokemon
Types: Dark
Average Height: 3' 03"
Average Weight: 59.5 lbs.
Highest Stat: Special Defense
Evolution: Eevee > Umbreon
Abilities: Synchronize
Weaknesses: Bug / Fighting
Resistances: Dark / Ghost
Emmunities: Phychic
About this Pokemon: Umbreons hunt at night. The rings on an Umbreon glow when the moon is full, or when it is excited. For some reason, when an Umbreon is agitated it sprays a poison from it's pores.
What's good about this Pokemon: It looks really cool. It can handle rough spots in a battle. It's an Eevelution. It can learn some good Dark Type moves. The move Moonlight is really cool.
What's bad about this Pokemon: It's kind of hard to get a good move set. It doesn't have the best egg moves to choose from. The tutored moves that it can learn are....... not really my battling style. (Maybe for you though!)
What I think of this Pokemon: I can not think of someone who likes Pokemon who does not, at the very least, like Umbreon. What's not to like? Well it's very hard for me to give my Umbreon a good move set. But I will get it down someday. Also, I find that fighting these guys is very annoying. Watch out for confuse ray! I would LOVE to say more about this Pokemon but I can't think of anything else to say. So, if you haven't given Umbreon a shot, try to make time for it. It might be worth it.

Pokemon of the Week #5

This Pokemon of the Week is Shieldon!
Pokedex Number: 410
Shield Pokemon
Types: Rock / Steel
Average Height: 1' 08"
Average Weight: 125.7 lbs.
Highest Stat: Defense
Evolution: Shieldon > Bastiodon
Abilties: Sturdy
Weaknesses: Fighting / Ground / Water
Resistances: Bug / Dark / Dragon / Flying / Ghost / Ice / Normal / Psychic / Rock
Immunities: Posion
About this Pokemon: This Pokemon was revived from a fossil. It's face is very hard, protecting it from attacks from the front. It eats grass and berries, and is rather peaceful.
What's good about this Pokemon: It has very high Defense, making it hard to beat. It can learn Magnet Rise , which will protect against those Ground type moves. It's Quick to lv up.
What's bad about this Pokemon: It can't learn very many attacking moves. It's impossible for some people to get it without trading.
What I think about this Pokemon: I honestly don't have very much experience with this one. But I can say that it's rather hard to train from lv.1. and that I don't really like to use it, at least not as far as I know.

Psyren + Pokemon chaining

I think it's about time I talked about a shiny Pokemon I worked so hard to get. Her name is Psyren. She is a kirlia, who I mentioned in an earlier post. She is literally a Pokemon from my dreams. I first started wanting to catch her when I had a dream about catching a shiny kirlia, who I (in the dream) named Psyren. When I woke up, I thought I might as well try to catch her in real life. Little did I know what trouble that would cause for me. At first, the idea was simple. Just train in a grass patch where I could find Kirlia and keep finding them!......... Not a good idea....... It was long, and boring...... So I needed a different tactic. That's when I REALLY started using the Poke Radar. the Poke Radar is a key item which makes grass patches shake. Sure, doesn't sound too good at first, but the key is to encounter the same Pokemon. Again. And again. And again. I tried to explain how the Poke Radar works a couple times, but failed twice. Instead, I'm going to post a link to a site that really helped me: http://www.psypokes.com/lab/shiny.php The only thing that was bad about the link (to me) was that it showed the one shiny I wanted most. One in the Kirlia evolution chain. So taking those tips, and chaining again and again and again. I caught many shinys. But not the one I wanted. After 9 months of looking I finally found a shiny Ralts. I was so overjoyed I cried. (Not really something I do when I find shinys) But I am NEVER chaining Ralts or Kirlia again. It was hard. It was a little fun. And I'm still doing it with other kinds of Pokemon. but Ralts and Kirlia are special to me. And I'm not going to try to find a shiny one of them again. It will just be another wild goose chase. But I hope this post helps you (at the very least the link) to find a shiny Pokemon that you are looking for.

Hevenly Ability

The ability Pick-Up is amazing. I love it. All you have to do is keep a Pokemon with Pick-Up in your team and train! Some items you get are very hard to get! Like Rare Candys! (Hence the "rare" part) But the higher lv. Pokemon that has the ability Pick-Up better stuff! Sadly, it has no effect in battle. But it's still one great ability! Some of the Pokemon that have this ability are: Ambipom, Pacharisu, Zigzagoon and Phanpy!

Pokemon of the Week # 4

This Pokemon of the Week is one of my favorite Pokemon! Giratina!!!
Pokedex Number: 487
Renegade Pokemon
Types: Ghost / Dragon
Average Height: 14' 9" (Altered Forme) / 22' 8" (Origin Forme)
Average Weight: 1,653.5 lbs. (Altered Forme) / 1,433.0 lbs. (Origin Forme)
Highest Stat: HP / Defense / Special Defense (Altered Forme) : HP / Attack / Special Attack (Origin Forme)
Evolution: Giratina
Abilites: Pressure (Altered Forme) / Levitate (Origin Forme)
Weaknesses: Dark / Dragon / Ghost / Ice
Resistances: Bug / Electric / Fire / Grass / Poison / Water
Immunities: Fighting / Normal (Altered Forme) : Fighting / Normal / Ground (Origin Forme)
About this Pokemon: Not much is known about this Pokemon, because it lives in a World on the Reverse side of ours. When it's in the Distortion World, this Pokemon is in it's Origin forme. Outside of the Distortion World, it becomes Altered forme.
What's good about this Pokemon (Altered Forme): It has some pretty awesome Defenses. It can learn some good high critical hit moves. It's signature move (Shadow Force) can hit though Protect and Detect! It can learn moves that boost all of it's Stats (excluding HP) while still doing Damage.
What's good about this Pokemon (Origin Forme) Instead of having good defenses, this Forme has good Attack and Special Attack. The good things about the moves above still apply to Origin Forme. The Griseous Orb boosts it's Ghost and Dragon type moves. It is Immune to Ground type moves.
What's bad about this Pokemon (Altered Forme): It has a weakness to it's both of it's own types. The only way to battle with it in Origin Forme is to give it the Griseous Orb. It's a Legendary so duh, it's not going to have any egg moves. It's REALLY hard to catch. It's hard to train.
What's bad about this Pokemon (Origin Forme): It still has a weakness to it's own types. It can only have the Griseous Orb to battle with. Because of it's lower defenses, it's not going to be in battle too long. Sadly, you can only have one Origin Forme Giratina in a game because the Griseous Orb can not be traded. It's still hard to catch and train.
My opinion on this Pokemon: I love it! one of my favorite Pokemon to use! there is a lot to choose from when using this Pokemon. do you go with Origin Forme, or with Altered Forme?.............. hm...... but the choice is up to you! (I rather like Origin Forme Personally.)
